Spotlight-on-Science was founded to be an independent source for unique perspectives on science and humanity.

Founder Bio: Dr. Levman earned his PhD in the department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto, a Masters of Applied Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ryerson University, and a Bachelor's of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Dr. Levman is also an avid author having contributed over fifty articles to Spotlight-on-Science and has been published in many scientific journals. He has an expertise in data analysis and computer engineering with a specialty in medical imaging applications. Dr. Levman has completed a postdoctoral fellowship as a breast cancer detection researcher at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Levman also completed postdoctoral research training at the University of Oxford at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering in brain imaging, and an additional postdoctoral research fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Levman currently works as a Canada Research Chair in Bioinformatics at St. Francis Xavier University.
